Nice Stroll September 1, 2010 Susperia65 Yesterday, we received the stroller. We live in Manhattan and had it out for a side walk test drive. It did really well. It's fairly smooth over the bumps and curbs. Plus, it's great for tall people. My only complaint is that the directions on how to install the hinge guards is not clear. Took a few minutes to figure out.
All and all, the features are great. My daughter really likes her new ride.
Britax Blink Sprout not for short people August 22, 2010 Tara (Baltimore, MD) I received the stroller in the mail yesterday. It looks great! It appears very well made and perfect for taller kids. However, the handles are very high. I am 5'3" and my husband is 5'6". Neither of us felt comfortable trying to push the stroller. It is definitely a great umbrella stroller made for parents that are on the taller side. I wanted the stroller to work so badly and I am bummed that we aren't going to keep it. I think the sprout design/colors are great and I so wished this stroller could have been a good fit for us.
Great Stroller! July 6, 2010 MotherofZ (Cambridge, MA United States) We were deciding between this and the Maclaren Quest. It's a bit heavier than the Maclaren but otherwise very similar. It's sturdy yet very easy to maneuver. The suspension makes for a smooth ride and the canopy is big enough to actually provide some shade. Our favorite part, surprisingly, turned out to be the peekaboo window in the canopy--it lets us easily see what our little one's up to (and she occasionally like to look up and see us). Opens and collapses easily. And it even comes with a carrying bag. Great stroller! Very happy with this choice (esp at 1/2 the price of the Maclaren).
really nice stroller! July 1, 2010 NYC Dad (New York, NY United States) Overall this is a great stroller. We previously owned the Chicco Ct 0.6 and did not love it, therefore my wife had very specific criteria when she was seeking a replacement. She wanted a stroller that:
-Reclined (the Chicco Ct 0.6 hardly recline at all)
- Had a carry strap ( I need my hands free w/ 2 girls in NYC)
-Folded and Locked easily (locking the Chicco Ct 0.6 was very difficult)
- Easy to maneuver
-Lightweight but would not tip over when I had the diaper bag on the handles and took my daughter out of the stroller.
The Blink met all this criteria. Our 18 month old daughter really likes it too. She climbs in it and says "Outside!" Because it reclines back pretty far and has an adjustable footrest, the first time using it she napped in it for 1 1/2 hours! The maximum she EVER napped in the Chicco Ct 0.6 was 45 minutes. My wife recently had carpal tunnel surgery on her wrist and she was able to push The Blink w/ one hand. I am 6ft tall and like the handle height and my feet do not kick the wheels while pushing The Blink.
The Cons:
-No cup holder (however very few umbrella strollers have them)
-When folding the stroller and hinge covers are on, you need to give an extra push to get the chassis lock to connect .
-Rain cover not included
- The wheels do not stay in the locked position when the stroller is folded. Therefore, if you wish to lean the stroller upright against a wall you need to flip it upside down and balance it on its handles
We purchased The Blink on sale and got it for a GREAT price. It is definitely worth what we paid for it. Overall, we are quite pleased with this purchase and service.
Thumbs UP to this wonderful lightweight stroller! May 7, 2010 SLJ (NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'll admit it, I am a Maclaren snob. I am the mother of four and by the time my youngest was born, I spent over $400 on a Maclaren. I swore that I'd never buy any other brand. Over the years, I have watched new parents struggle with their stroller. Why? There IS the perfect stroller out there! You SHOULD be able to open and close it 1-2-3. Your baby/toddler SHOULD be comfortable! There is no reason to give up these conveniences and have a cumbersome stroller. Until this week, I would have told you, "buy a Maclaren". This Britax Blink lives up to the Maclaren in every sense! It has a recline back, leg rest, canopy, basket storage and comes with a carry bag. My favorite part is that it has a built in shoulder strap! Riding the tram at a theme park this summer? This is the stroller for you! Smooth, comfortable....everything you could want and then some!
